Explore the DiMenna Children’s History Museum at the New-York Historical Society
Saturday, March 10
11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Calling all explorers! Become a history detective and explore 300 years of New York and American history through the eyes and lives of children of the past at the DiMenna Children’s History Museum! Be sure to bring your magnifying glass and uncover objects, games, and information to help tell the story of the history of New York. Members enjoy on-going activities, and a private ARTHUR meet-and-greet. Complete and turn in the Explore Challenge through the DiMenna Children’s History Museum by 12:30 p.m. for the chance to win a prize pack!

Activities in the Member Zone

  • Members only meet-and-greet with Arthur ongoing from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Enjoy touch tables, ARTHUR episode screening, & history activities
  • Private tour of The Henry Luce III Center for the Study of American Culture for members begins at noon.
  • Turn in the Explore Challenge scavenger hunt to the Kids Club THIRTEEN team by 12:30 p.m. for the chance  to win a prize.

Suggested Member Activities

  • Take your children to view the orientation film: New York Story, narrated by Liev Schreiber. This eighteen-minute theatrical media experience illuminates the story of the nation by exploring the story of New York and its rise from a remote outpost to a city at the center of the world. Shown every 30mins.
