KIDS CLUB THIRTEEN

Bronx Zoo: Dinosaur Safari
Saturday July 13, 2013, 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

We have a dino-rific adventure in store when your family joins us at the Bronx Zoo for a Fun & Free Event you won’t want to miss. The Zoo is opening early just for Kids Club Members who will be escorted to the Dino Safari to take the first tour of the day, enjoy a special craft and meet Buddy the T-Rex from Dinosaur Train! Then stay and enjoy all the other exciting activities the zoo has to offer. Board a paleontologist’s wagon for a trip back in time, dig for fossil and explore artifacts, and see a dinosaur musical!   A great day out for the whole family!

Dinosaurs Among Us: The dinosaurs that you can encounter during the Bronx Zoo: Dinosaur Safari exhibit have long since vanished from our planet.  Through studying the adaptations and behavior of some of the modern animals at the zoo, you may be able to gain insight into the lives of dinosaurs far beyond what is known from just observing ancient fossils.

On this tour, you’ll visit some favorite zoo animals to learn about the adaptations modern animals share with their dinosaur predecessors. What does a giraffe have in common with a Brachiosaurus? Did Triceratops use their horns in the same ways that rhinos do today? Which animal is the Tyrannosaurus Rex of the modern era? Discover these secrets and much more!
